Shawn Carnes is a game designer who worked for Wizards of the Coast from June 1994 to January 2000. Carnes was one of the original Magic: the Gathering rules experts who took calls helping gamers across the world settle rules disputes.[1]
Carnes often used the phrase "bad touch", an expression meaning "in poor taste".[2] This became anagramed in the name of Ice Age's Chub Toad.[3]
