Mark Globus is a former Magic designer and developer at Wizards of the Coast.

Career

He was originally hired for the intern Digital Games department by performing well on "The Great Designer Search".[1] One of the mechanics from his Designer Search set, metalcraft, got tweaked and used in Scars of Mirrodin. He later became Magic R&D's senior producer, which means he oversaw all the structure (basically schedules, processes, and personnel) that allows R&D to make Magic.[2][3] As director of the Product Architecture team, he was also tasked to think about the entire suite of Magic products — from Intro packs to the Magic Online Cube — and make sure they were serving the Magic audience as well as possible.[4][5][6] Meanwhile, he was part of several design teams.[7]

Mark Globus left Wizards of the Coast in March 2019.[8]
