Malpiri was the name of a nation of Terisiare on Dominaria during the Brothers' War and the Dark Age.
Not much is known about its heartlands, the Malpiri Plains, apart from their location north-east of the Monastery of Gix. They would later become the Balduvian Steppe during the Ice Age. A clan of barbarians lived there before the Ice Age, which may have been the early Balduvian culture. Malpiri was devastated in the aftermath of the Brother's War.
The Archmandrite of the Ivory Tower invited Kathwar, chief of the Malpiri clan, representing the Sardian people as well as the Malpiri, to join the Council of Mages. Within the plains lay the Flarg, a mountainous region infested by goblins.
