Game Center rotunda

The Rotunda of the WotC Game Center.

The Wizards of the Coast Game Center was a venue opened by Wizards of the Coast on May 16, 1997. In 1998, a restaurant was opened next door called "Dalmuti's", a reference to The Great Dalmuti game. Unable to remain profitable, the Game Center was closed suddenly in February 2001.

It was located in Seattle's University District at 4518 University Way N.E, the University of Washington's main campus. The 32,000-square-foot Game Center featured BattleTech virtual reality with twelve simulator pods; a retail store, networked computer games, a tournament center area for organized play, and multiple players' lounges. It was the host site for the 1997 and 1998 World Championships.

The main entrance of the Center was known as the Rotunda, and science fiction and fantasy artwork covered the walls. An 11-foot-tall bust of the Hurloon Minotaur, the company's mascot, hung above the center, and a Shivan Dragon with a 16-foot wingspan hung over the door to the Center's retail store.
