Hi Mike. I've been enjoying working on this Wiki and I'm glad to be a part of this endeavor to create and maintain a substantial and comprehensive source for information on Magic: the Gathering.
I wanted to help expand the article on the proliferate ability and would like to reference some pages from the Wizards website, although I am not as of yet sure how to add reference links. I was hoping you would be able to help me discern how to do this.

Hey Mike. I am not sure why you alphabetized all the cards in the Legacy decks I recently wrote articles for. I usually order them by mana cost which is in my opinion a superior method as it also somewhat helps to show the mana curve a deck is built on. In fact in alphabetized lists I copy of tournament articles and other sources of decklists I usually sort them by mana cost for that purpose. Is it some site policy? Else I'd rather keep my method. - I only did it on a couple of the decks. It isnt a set policy, I just think its easier to make the deck as my cards are alphabetized in my large card boxes not sorted by mana cost. I'll leave your deck lists as you put them then. --GeoMike 21:40, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm just subscribed to this wiki for the reasons explained on my User:Blakbat page. For that reason, some css additions could be useful, such as the wikitable css class (cf. below), to be added on Mediawiki:common.css The geshi syntax coloring extension would also colorize the common.css page for better visibility.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your work as an admin of this wiki! I just started editing it, although I've come across it as a reference source a few times in the past few years.
The reason I'm here is because I have a suggestion that might help the Wiki. Normally I hate it when new people come in and try to change things immediately, but I think I may have a good perspective as a new user. When I first started looking at pages, I thought all the card names were bold and red because bold indicated it was a card name, and red indicated it was a broken link. Because of this, I was thinking of trying to add card name pages to this wiki. Anyways, when I finally clicked one, I realized they all redirect to the Magiccards.info page for that card, which is good - I love that site! However, I think many users like me, who have edited on other wikis, might find that a bit confusing because red always indicates a broken link, not an external link. I didn't even bother clicking on the link until I decided I wanted to create some card name pages, but most readers probably wouldn't go that far.
I was wondering if it was possible to change how card links are displayed. I had a few suggestions:
- Use a different color than red. Red always indicates a link to a non-existent wiki page on the other wikis I've used. Since blue indicates internal link, purple indicates a visited internal link, red non-bold indicates a broken internal link, and black indicates normal text, I thought using bold and a dark green would be a good color. If you're concerned about color blind people still thinking it's red, then bold and dark grey could also work, as long as the grey was easily distinguished from black.
- Use the "box with an arrow" external link symbol that wikis (including this one) normally use. Here is an example. (I think this is a bit clunky because it might add a lot of arrows, which could be a bit annoying)
- Use a blue link with an underline. (I think this might look a bit clunky, but it is a possibility)
Of all these, I like the third suggestion the best, and I think a somewhat dark "forest green" would be a great color for this, if it isn't an absolute nightmare to change the display color. I realize some color-blind people may see green as a reddish color, but it would be a darker hue, and the bold would help them distinguish it after a bit. For the non-color blind people, I think this could help make this wiki significantly more intuitive.
In any case, I like the site, and plan to add more to it. I'm working on Flip cards right now, and have some finals in the next two weeks, but I plan to be back. Keep up the great work and thanks for the great site!

- A significant number and percentage of males are R/G (pardon the Magic colour notation) colourblind, whereas a smaller number and percentage of the human population on Earth are completely colourblind or are blue/yellow colourblind. To use blue and yellow would allow for the most ideal combination of readability and accessibility. Furthermore, because of the physics/optics of blue and yellow, it makes the most sense to use these colours.
- Blue/yellow are used in many places worldwide instead of R/G for these reason, and so are well known among the educated hoi polloi (paradox?). Blue/yellow appear as different colours to R/G colourblind folk and are of different intensities for the completely colourblind.
