They've really changed the structure of the Comprehensive Rules with the 2009/07/08 rules update. It'll take a little bit to fix this page up. Be patient please.--GeoMike 12:27, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Linking to rules[edit source]

This page notes the common practice of noting a rule with the [CR <rule>] format. That's practically a wiki link. Would it make sense to create redirect pages for the rules, allowing links to, for example, [[CR 509.1]] → Declare Blockers Step? Or would that simply be a clutter of redirects? It would also allow links from outside sources pointing into the wiki to use http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/509.1 to reach http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Declare_Blockers_Step

The question also arises of exactly how deep to make the redirect pages. Is [[CR 509]] ok? [[509.1]]? [[509.1a]]?

I believe the wiki allows us to create named anchors, so for long rules entry pages, linking down to the subrules isn't entirely a waste of time, since the redirect could jump there directly. I just don't want to create 100 redirect pages if it's deemed a waste of time. If people think it's useful, though, I'm willing to work on it as I work my way through the CR studying for judge certification :) --Lithl 15:05, 20 September 2011 (EDT)

I'd be wary of creating pages, such as [[CR 509]] as the rule numbers can change every time the Comprehensive Rules are released. --GeoMike 17:59, 20 September 2011 (EDT)

Title change[edit source]

"Comprehensive Rules" is part of the proper title of the document listing the rules themselves. This article is describing the document. For this reason, the "r" in rules should be made uppercase in the article title.

Also, I can't edit the references section. October isn't capitalized in the second reference, in case someone would like to correct that as well. —72.47.64.224 10:13, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
