The Phyrexian Invasion of Dominira began after a millenia of of planning by the enemies Urza and Yawgmoth. The Invasion culminated the Weatherlight Saga.
The great invasion had began with the intersection of the planes of occupied Rath and Dominaria. Although several billion Dominarians had died, and Yawgmoth seemed to have an easy victory at hand, it was only through the legacy and great personal sacrifice by its crew that Yawgmoth's march through Dominaria was halted. Upon his apparent death, his devoted minions lost all hope and perished as well.
