Legacy Stax deck

The Legacy Stax deck functions similarly to the Vintage Stax deck in that it plays a number of artifacts that impede the opponents gameplan. It falls into the category of Prison decks.

The deck uses cards such as Trinisphere, Smokestack, Tangle Wire, Chalice of the Void, Lodestone Golem and Powder Keg to either prevent the opponent from casting spells or have their cards have any positive effect on the game. It then proceeds to kill the opponent with Mishra's Factory and Mutavault, often multiple copies attacking at a time. Factories or Vaults being destroyed is not a concern as the deck also employs Crucible of Worlds. This card also enables the player to demolish the opponents Mana base with Wasteland and makes it possible to rebuild and keep a Smokestack alive. Rishadan Port accompanies Wasteland and locks down the opponents lands. The final part of the deck are sources of large quantities of colorless mana such as Metalworker, Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors and Mox Diamond (which also profits from Crucible).
