Laconia was Caliphear the Nightmare's caretaker on Dominaria.[1]
Laconia told his mistress Caliphear that her lands had fallen under attack by goblins and Shanodin Dryads. The invading creatures could not be held back by the frozen shades because the swamps had become barren due to a powerful, unknown wizard. This was later revealed to be Coldraith.
