Kev Brockschmidt is one of the original twenty-five Magic: The Gathering artists. Aside of reprints, Alpha has been the only set he has he contributed to. He created four illustrations for it.
Kev has been a professional illustrator and designer for over 20 years working for such clients as Nintendo, Starlog, Reader's Digest and King Features Syndicate. His specialty is colorful, humorous illustrations. He prides himself on creating images with tight, balanced compositions and precision line-work and coloring. He also holds a degree in graphic design and worked for several years as the Creative Director for a large internet company. His experience includes traditional techniques as well as digital art, animation and web site development.[1]
