Igniting the Spark, The Story of Magic: The Gathering is an upcoming documentary, chronicling the game’s history since its 1993 release.[1] It is expected to be released in 2023.

The Toys That Made Us producer Brian Stillman co-directs Igniting the Spark alongside Kelley Slagle, and rounding out the producing team is Seth Polansky. All three produced the documentary Eye of the Beholder: The Art of Dungeons & Dragons.
Brian produced the documentary Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys. Kelley and Seth produced a narrative feature film called Of Dice and Men.
An additional producer for Igniting the Spark is Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of The Nacelle Company and the same man behind Netflix's The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us.
