Template:MtgArtist Douglas Shuler, sometimes mistakenly credited as Douglas Schuler, is an artist whose work has appeared in a variety of publications and projects. Shuler has illustrated works associated with Magic: The Gathering and is one of the original 25 Magic artists, having illustrated cards such as Demonic Tutor, Hypnotic Specter, Prodigal Sorcerer, Serra Angel, and Unholy Strength.
Career
Shuler has been a professional painter for in excess of 20 years and has worked for numerous gaming and media companies, including Lucasfilm, Paramount Pictures, the Sci-Fi Channel, TSR, and Wizards of the Coast.[1]
His work for Magic earned him worldwide exposure that has since catapulted him into several new arenas, including digital art, video game development, and portraiture. A jack-of-all-trades when it comes to creating an image, Douglas is equally comfortable using pencils, acrylics, airbrush, oil paints and even computers.
