Conley Woods is a former Pro Player associated with ChannelFireball. More recently, he is known from his Magic Online streams.

History[edit | edit source]

He is well known for his love of Rogue strategies which feature unconventional card choices, and decks that are not believed to be viable in a format. He won GP Orlando, was the runner-up at Grand Prix Tampa 2009, and finished in the Top 8 of Grand Prix Oakland 2010. Additionally, he finished in the Top 4 of Pro Tour Honolulu 2009 and Worlds 2011.

He also used to write the Daily Decklist feature on magicthegathering.com, in which he presented unusual or interesting decks that recently found success either on Magic Online or in larger tournaments.

Woods was issued a lifetime DCI ban, effective August 21, 2019.

Notes[edit | edit source]

^I Woods finished third at Grand Prix San Jose 2012 with teammates Owen Turtenwald and Eric Froehlich,[2] and although the cutoff was to the top 2 teams instead of the usual top 4 for team events, it has been recognized as a counting Grand Prix top 8 finish by Wizards of the Coast.
