Italics for expansions[]

I don't mean to sound stern or anything or to suggest that we shouldn't or should italicize set names, so I'll ask you on your sentiments as to italics for set names. What are your feelings on set names being italicized, at least in information boxes? --Magic Mage (talk) 06:53, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

I don't care if they are italized or not, seriously.
I italized them because I took the azorius senate page as a reference for updating the other guild infoboxes (izzet, golgari, and a rakdos i think) because it was the only one who was updated partially with some RtR content. I just followed the azrius infobox patern and updated the others in concordance. Sorry if I did wrong. You haven't sounded stern, I just had a bad day, weel, half day, it's still not over -_-']] :JaceWeCan 13:01 - CET (central european time)
JaceWeCan, it's all right. I'm trying hard to better present these 10 guilds (thank goodness there are only ten; but, darn, why can't there be more [good] info soon enough?!), particularly as Ravnica block — or Invasion block v2.0 — was a favourite of mine. Apologies if I seem overprotective!
According to the Manual of Style that we drafted years ago, it was established that sets and expansions would be italicised in "running text" and something else. I'll get back to reading the Manual of Style.
Hope your day gets better and you feel better! It's nothing major, right? If there's anything we can do to help or do, within reason, we should be able to lend a hand! :) --Magic Mage (talk) 07:11, 31 August 2012 (EDT)
Apologies on the double comment; but, you can sign your comments automatically with four tildes (~~~~) rather than type it out manually. This should generate your signature, often a link to your user page and your talk page, as well as the time. If you want, you can even customise your signature here. --Magic Mage (talk) 07:12, 31 August 2012 (EDT)

Guild crests[]

Hey, JaceWeCan (or JWC if you don't mind), apologies for deleting some of the more recent guild crests. Could you reply to this comment, underneath my comment here, with the source of the images? I know the 200x200 px crests are from "Announcing Gatecrash" but I don't know where the smaller ones, with less white space, are from. The smaller ones are marginally smaller in file size, but their quality seems markedly worse. That's why I've deleted two of them; I've since stopped, though, because they may yet have worth. I hope you understand. Thanks! --Magic Mage (talk!) 04:25, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

I made manually those smaller images. The principal reason was that when I tried to link the new guild crest images on the infobox, i received an error, and I managed to identify the reason of the error in the image name, containg "_" or "-" i don't remember now which one of those 2 symbols. Then i tried to update that same images with another name, but the system identified that image, pixels, and weight as an existing one, even if I put a different name.
I converted that images to .bmp, then to .jpg again. In that process they lost space and and maybe some pixels of the white back i cut.
If you manage to have the "_" images working, then its completely fine with me to delete them. Their purpose was to evade the problem name for showing at top of the guild infobox. - JaceWeCan (talk) 06:47, 24 September 2012 (EDT)
Oh, okay. Thanks! --Magic Mage (talk!) 06:51, 24 September 2012 (EDT)

Image names[]

When uploading them, please use some sort of worked out system. What I've been doing - hard to say if it's good or bad or whether it has merits or demerits - is something descriptive, something standard throughout a series of images or similar images. For your uploads of Duel Deck packaging or boxes - their names vary - see, I have renamed them all to the expansion code. Similarly, for logos and symbols, I've renamed them to [expansion code logo.file extn] and [exp code symbol.file extn].

Anyway, thank you for your wiki work! --Magic Mage (talk!) 07:57, 6 November 2012 (EST)
